GES PTO Glow Party - March 2026

Principal Ten Eyck

Dear GES Families,

Our school had a wacky Wednesday of Leprechaun fun on St. Patrick's Day this week with plenty of green clothing around the building and fun educational activities to be had.

There are so many great things happening across the building right now. From exercises to help our students reset and feel good at school, to teachers working together across subjects and continuously fine-tuning our curriculum.

As spring warms up the weather, please pack an extra pair of pants and shoes for outdoor play.

Save the Date! Our 6th Grade Transition Night at the Jr/Sr High is fast approaching on April 1st, and I encourage all 6th grade families to attend (bring your family, if desired!) and come learn how 7th grade will work, get a tour of the building and meet students and staff. It's a friendly way to get acquainted with what's ahead for your student.

Warmly,

Ms. Ten Eyck

Principal, Granville Elementary School

Congratulations to Ms. LaRose!

Ms. LaRose at Granville Elementary, is the PTO Staff Member of the Month for February!

I’d like to recognize Kathy LaRose, our incredible Resolution Room Teaching Assistant, as this month’s PTO Staff Member of the Month.

Ms. LaRose goes above and beyond every single day to help keep things running smoothly at GES. Much of what she does happens behind the scenes, but her impact is felt throughout the entire building. In the Resolution Room, she helps students reflect on their choices, regulate their emotions, and work toward positive solutions. Students trust her, seek her out, and know that she genuinely cares about them.

Ms. LaRose is always quick to lend a helping hand wherever it’s needed, and she plays a vital role in the day to day success of our school. Her dedication to our students goes far beyond the school day, she truly thinks about her role and responsibilities both on and off the clock because she cares so deeply about our kids.

And as if that wasn’t enough, she is also known for keeping staff morale high with the delicious baked treats she so generously shares with the team. GES is incredibly fortunate to have Ms. LaRose as part of our community. She is truly a staple of our building, and we are so grateful for everything she does

Nurse's Office

The warmer weather is making recess extra fun and extra messy.

Students are needing a change of clothing.

Please consider bringing extra pair of pants or shorts for your student to change into if needed, with a plastic bag.

Thank you,

Nurse Evans

Caught Being Responsible

Principal Ten Eyck's Caught Being Responsible is in the works at GES!

When students are acknowledged for acts of taking responsibility for themselves, their classroom and with their classmates, they receive a Responsibility Ticket.

The student will bring their tickets to the office to drop them off into our official Responsibility Box.

Students can earn many tickets and three names will be drawn at the quarterly student success ceremony called PBIS.

Here is a link to an article on how to teach kids responsibility.

Pack Sneakers for P.E. Class

Please remember to pack sneakers each day for gym class!

If you like, you can leave a clean, old pair of sneakers in your student's classroom cubby to leave at school for gym.
