Principal Ten Eyck (Pronounced 10 Ike)

Dear GES Students, Staff, and Families

What an amazing start to the school year! Seeing our students' smiling faces fill the hallways has been an absolute joy. The energy and enthusiasm in the building are truly contagious. We’ve had a fantastic first week, and it’s all thanks to the incredible collaboration between our dedicated staff, wonderful students, and supportive families.

We are already hard at work building a positive school culture. Our students have been doing a great job of embracing our school-wide expectations to be safe, kind, responsible, and respectful. These values are at the core of everything we do, and it’s wonderful to see them in action. This positive start sets the stage for a year full of learning, growth, and success.

Our students have begun their i-Ready diagnostic testing this week, and we are so proud of their focus and hard work. This testing provides us with valuable information to personalize learning and support each student's academic growth throughout the year.

Thank you all for a spectacular first week! We are excited for all that's to come. Let's continue to work together to make this a fantastic year.

Warmly,

Principal Ten Eyck

Important Reminders

To ensure a smooth and productive school day, please keep the following in mind:

  • The school day begins promptly. The first bell rings at 7:50 AM, and students should be in their classrooms ready to learn by 7:55 AM.

  • For your convenience, students may be dropped off at school any time between 7:30 AM and 7:50 AM, and breakfast is available to all students.

  • Chorus is on Thursday and begins at 7:30 AM. Contact Mr. Tuttle if you need more information: btuttle@granvillecsd.org

  • Notes on Lunches: We want to make lunch time as efficient and enjoyable as possible for all our students. We kindly ask that you send your student with a lunch that does not require microwaving. Unfortunately, we are not equipped to microwave lunches for all students, and it can cause significant delays. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us make lunch a smooth process for everyone.
