This Week's Updates
ges late fall with rainbow

Dear GES Families,

As we approach the upcoming Thanksgiving vacation, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for the incredible collaboration and support we continue to receive from our school community. Together, we are creating a positive and nurturing environment for our students, and I am so thankful for your partnership.

It’s been a week full of exciting learning in our classrooms! Our dedicated teachers are working tirelessly to enhance student engagement, providing meaningful lessons and fostering a love of learning. A special shout-out to all our educators for their hard work and enthusiasm—our students are truly thriving thanks to your commitment and creativity!

Finally, as always, we encourage open communication with classroom teachers for any events or concerns directly related to your child’s classroom. If you ever have any questions or need support, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Thank you and have a good weekend,

Trishia Ten Eyck, Principal

A Few Reminders

Transportation

As we head into the colder months, please remember to ensure that bus notes are submitted by 11:00 AM each day. This helps us manage transportation effectively and ensures your child gets home safely. Additionally, we remind all families to prioritize bus safety measures and encourage students to be aware of their surroundings while traveling to and from school.

Winter Weather and Recess

As the temperatures drop, please be sure your child is prepared for outdoor recess by wearing appropriate outerwear. If providing winter clothing presents a challenge, please reach out to the school for support—we are happy to assist with any needs.

Nurse’s Office and Medication

We’ve noticed that some students are arriving at school without their necessary medication, which can make it difficult for them to focus and regulate themselves throughout the day. If your child takes medication before the school day, please ensure it’s provided before they arrive, or submit any necessary doctor’s orders to the school nurse and we can assist at school. We understand mornings can be busy, and we’re here to help if you have any concerns or need support. Together, we can ensure every student is ready to learn and thrive.

Report Cards:

Report cards were mailed home earlier this week. If you have not yet received your child’s report card, please contact the main office to confirm that we have your correct address on file.

The Three B's

Our Positive Behavior Intervention Program Continues

As we continue to build a positive school culture, we remind students of our core values: to be safe, kind, and responsible.

These behaviors are vital to creating a respectful and supportive learning environment. Our students are also working hard in PE to earn the coveted “Golden Sneaker,” and we’re thrilled to see the enthusiasm in each class!

We have a tremendous number of students that are making great choices throughout each school day.

Starting in December teachers and staff will nominate any student in the building that they believe makes a positive impact in our school, and is an outstanding role model for their peers.

Each week, we will select one student from each grade level to be recognized for exemplifying the 3 B's.

-Be Safe

-Be Kind

-Be Responsible

The selected students will receive a $20 Bee Buck and a shout out on the schools announcements!
