Granville Elementary in the Fall

Principal Ten Eyck

Dear GES Families,

I'd like to share how proud I am of our students after last night’s chorus and band concert. The performances were wonderful, and it was so special to see our students’ confidence, growth, and joy on display.

A huge thank you to Mr. Tuttle for his continued dedication to our chorus program and for helping our students discover their voices and develop a love for music.

And a big shout-out to Mr. DeLappa, who has done an incredible job this year building and strengthening our band program. His impact in such a short time has been truly impressive.

To our students, their hard work and commitment paid off, and they should be very proud of themselves. Please recognize them for all their achievements.

It was a great night to #BeGolden!

Wishing you a good weekend,

Ms. Ten Eyck
Principal, Granville Elementary School

Winter Gear Reminder

Please be sure to send your student with boots, warm jacket, hat, and gloves daily so your student can go outside for recess.

Please label your student’s name in all of their belongings, as hats and gloves tend to go missing fast!

If you need help obtaining any of these items, please contact Nurse Beecher: cbeecher@granvillecsd.org

PTO Staff Member of the Month

Congratulations to GES November Staff Member of the Month - Music Teacher, Mr. DeLappa!

As a new member of the Granville music team, Mr. DeLappa has already made a tremendous impact on our band program. He supports a large number of student musicians, collaborates closely with teachers, and creates flexible lesson and make-up schedules to ensure as many students as possible can participate—especially those balancing related services and academic supports.

His positivity, organization, and commitment to student growth have strengthened our program and school community.

We are grateful to have him at GES! - Principal Ten Eyck

Thank you to the Granville PTO for sponsoring this monthly activity and gifting our staff with a beautiful slate frame and gift certificate to Indulge pizza.

6th Grade Fundraiser

Who doesn’t LOVE chocolate?

The 6th-grade class has started its annual chocolate fundraiser this week. It will run from December 3rd to December 19th.

This year, the students are selling 4 kinds of candy bars:
Creamy Caramel, Roasted Almond, Crispy Rice, and Milk Chocolate

Each 6th grade student will be given a box of 50 candy bars to sell for $2.00 each, so they will be responsible for raising $100 to help with 6th-grade activities throughout the year.

Some activities may include graduation, field trips, Art in Education projects, etc. Any money raised that is not used will follow the class into the Jr/Sr High School and help with getting their class funds started for high school.

If you are interested in supporting this group of amazing youngsters, contact a 6th-grader for your chocolate needs. We look forward to your support with this fundraiser.

If you have any questions, please contact your child’s 6th-grade teacher or Mrs. Halnon at fhalnon@granvillecsd.org
