| Dear GES Families,
Here's a little note of thanks as we ramp up for spring activities. Thank you to the staff for the hard work you put in every day for our students at GES. Your dedication, care, and commitment truly make a difference, and I appreciate everything you do to help make our school a great place to learn and work.
Thank you to families for tirelessly getting your kids to school on time and helping them with their school work and more. We know there are days when it's not so easy, and we are glad to have you part of the school community. There are many great pictures in this issue, please take a look and save the dates for upcoming events.
Families and staff, please also consider volunteering with the PTO. Once a year is great, but you are welcome to volunteer as little or as much as you like. Here is the link to their current newsletter that includes their volunteer sign up sheet. Thank you!
And finally, a hearty thanks goes out to the PTO volunteers of guardians and staff for hosting the Glow Party for 5th and 6th grade yesterday. What a fun gathering full of dance, fun decorations and snacks! Warmly, Ms. Ten Eyck Principal, Granville Elementary School 518-642-1051 Ext. 3202 tteneyck@granvillecsd.org |

VEX Club at State Championships |
Parents took their students to the NYS VEX Robotics State Competition.
"Students Kylo, Blake and Aubrey conducted themselves so well while being the youngest team at the State competition. From managing their schedule, speaking with the judges and talking strategy with the other teams (Most teams were grades 6-8) we were thoroughly impressed with how confident they were!
It was a great experience for all and we’re so thankful for the opportunity to have attended!" - Meghan Steves (far right), Advisor pictured with students and parent Laura Nichol (far left).
Thank you to the families for the picture and update. Go Horde! |
The warmer weather is making recess extra fun and extra messy.
Students are needing a change of clothing.
Please consider bringing extra pair of pants or shorts for your student to change into if needed, with a plastic bag.
Thank you,
Nurse Evans

Principal Ten Eyck's Caught Being Responsible is in the works at GES!
When students are acknowledged for acts of taking responsibility for themselves, their classroom and with their classmates, they receive a Responsibility Ticket. The student will bring their tickets to the office to drop them off into our official Responsibility Box.
Students can earn many tickets and three names will be drawn at the quarterly student success ceremony called PBIS.
Here is a link to an article on how to teach kids responsibility. |
Pack Sneakers for P.E. Class |
Please remember to pack sneakers each day for gym class! If you like, you can leave a clean, old pair of sneakers in your student's classroom cubby to leave at school for gym.
