Dear GES Families,

I hope you had a good week.

Please arrive to school 10-15 minutes early to enjoy a free breakfast on us. A full belly each morning helps your student focus, get along with others and feel ready to learn important life skills.

Let's finish strong! As the weather warms up, a little spring fever may set in. Please encourage your student to arrive on time, ready to learn and let's finish strong.

REMINDER: Each day, a different bus will not be leaving GES until approximately 4:25. Here is the bus information for 3/31 - 4/11.

See you on Monday!

Warm regards,

Principal Ten Eyck

Transportation

Please remember to ensure that bus notes are submitted by 11:00 AM each day. This helps us manage transportation effectively and ensures your child gets home safely.

***Recess***

Please be sure your child is prepared for outdoor recess by bringing appropriate outerwear like boots, hats, gloves and snow pants or extra pants. If providing cold clothing presents a challenge, please reach out to the Principal or School Nurse for support—we are happy to assist with any needs.

Nurse’s Office and Medication

If your child takes medication before the school day, please ensure it’s provided before they arrive, or submit any necessary doctor’s orders to the school nurse and we can assist at school.

***Pack a Snack***

Please pack a filling afternoon snack for your children, to help them focus and feel good. Here is the link for some helpful tips about when kids should snack and simple snack ideas.

Need Extra Support?

Please do not hesitate to contact your student's teacher and ask for assistance and resources that you can do at home.
Here is our staff directory. Here is our Community School page with additional family resources.

***Why Being on Time Matters***

Consistent or frequent tardiness can cause students to fall behind quickly, and it makes it hard for them to learn reading, math and make friends.  Please make every effort to ensure that your child is at school by 8:45am.  Students will be marked tardy if they arrive after 8:45am. Likewise, frequently picking students up before the end of their scheduled day can cause them to fall behind and feel discouraged as well. Being on time also prepares students for being able to land and keep a great job when they graduate from Granville CSD.

Students of the Week

Each week, one student is selected from each grade by their teachers and staff for being responsible community members and kind with their peers.
