Class Placements for Next Year

We understand that class placements are an important consideration for families. We want to assure you that a great deal of thought and effort goes into creating balanced and effective classroom environments for all students.

Our dedicated team of educators, including classroom teachers, Academic Intervention Services (AIS) teachers, related service providers, and other professionals, collaborates extensively on this process. They work diligently to ensure the best fit for each child.

How We Make Placement Decisions:

Classroom placements are based on a comprehensive review of available data, including:

  • Academic performance: Classroom grades and benchmarking assessments.

  • Learning styles: How your child learns best academically, emotionally, and socially.

Our goal is always to create well-balanced classrooms that support diverse learning styles, prioritize student safety, and foster a strong sense of community.

Providing Additional Information:

While we do not accept requests for specific teachers, we welcome your input if you have specific information that you believe is essential for your child's placement.

If you wish to share relevant details, please submit a letter prior to June 3rd describing your child's:

  • Strengths

  • Weaknesses

  • Any other information that may assist us in making an informed placement decision.

Please email your letter to tteneyck@granvillecsd.org and label the subject line "Student Placement Information."

Thank you for your understanding and partnership in creating the best learning environment for your child.
