12/28 - 1/4 - PTO Sponsored Bowling

1/5 - Classes Resume / Music Boosters Meeting, 6pm, New Members Welcome, Band Room, JSHS / Indoor Walking Program Continues

1/7- Granville Horde Booster Club Meeting, New Members Welcome

1/8 - Community Resource: FREE After School Food, Fun and Friends resumes at St. Mary's Church, 23 Bulkley Ave, in Granville for GES and JSHS students. Parents welcome. Homework help, a meal, and a quiet place to hang out after school. 3pm - 5:30pm every Thursday while school is in session. Contact 518-642-1262 or ffsmg@rcda.org with questions. No curriculum covered, just a place for homework help, food, board games and friends. 

1/8 - National Honors Society Induction, 7pm, JSHS

1/10 - 5th and 6th Grade Chorus at Glens Falls Civic Center, Adirondack Thunder Game. Here is the link to purchase tickets. 

1/12 - Board of Education Meeting, 6pm, JSHS

1/13 - BOCES Program Open House for CTE Programs for 10th Grade Families, Ft. Edward, NY

1/14 - PTO Meeting, All Families and Staff Welcome, In-Person and Virtual Meeting Link Option is Available

1/19 - NO SCHOOL - Martin Luther King, Jr. Observance / PTO Sponsored Bowling

1/20 - Midterms and Regents Week at Jr/Sr High 

1/23 - PTO Movie Night at GES, 6pm - 8pm (GES and MJT must have guardian in attendance)

Pick-Up and Drop-Off Changes

Students on Bus 122, 125, 127 and 132 have adjusted pick-up and drop-off times starting January 5th to help address a driver shortage.

If your student is affected, you should have received a letter from the Transportation Department with the details. If you have a question, please contact Transportation Secretary, Ms. Coley at kcoley@granvillecsd.org or call 518-642-1051 Ext. 5201 and she'll be happy to help you. 



We Are Hiring!

Do you like to drive? Do you know your way around Granville? Are you not afraid of a little weather? 

Bus driving is a great part-time to full-time job for an individual with time flexibility in the morning and afternoon such as a small business owner or start-up, homesteader, contractor, semi-retired professional or any community-minded individual who would like a stable, community focused part-time job that leads to full-time, if desired. 

GCSD will reimburse you for CDL training and becoming a valued team member.

Join us and be the friendly face that greets our students every morning and afternoon and make a difference in your community.  Our schools need you! 

Opportunities to take on sports routes and field trips too for extra hours. 

Bus drivers make a difference and are an important role in our schools, each and every day. Be the bus driver you wish you had in school. Apply today and you'll have a chance at becoming Bus of the Month in the new year too.

Bus of the Month Begins in January!

Bus safety and peaceful bus rides are important for everyone. Starting in January, we will highlight a bus each month (riders and driver) that model great bus behavior and safety. 

The Bus of the Month will receive Dunkin Donuts Gift Cards for our Jr/Sr High riders and school coupons for a cafeteria ice cream or a snack for our GES/MJT riders and a very special gift and social media shout out to the driver from a local organization. 

Who will win bus of the month? We can't wait to celebrate. Please tell your student. 

 

 

After Prom Committee

Volunteer to sell Super Bowl Squares at home basketball games. Here is the link to the game schedule to select an upcoming game.

Jr/Sr High Student Broadcaster Contest

Your chance to be featured as a guest sportscaster with NYVT Media & Border Country Sports during live high school sports broadcasts! Here is the link to submit a short sample video & letter to enter this contest. 

Basketball Games Concession Stand

Attend a home basketball game, manage the concession stand for the Athletic Boosters and watch the game from the TV in the foyer. If you'd like to help or volunteer, here is the link to sign up to manage the concession stand.

The earlier the better!
