After Prom Committee, a GCSD parent-led group, urgently needs volunteers and donations to be able to continue the event this May.
Traditionally, the 11th grade class and families organize this event.
Here are volunteer opportunities:
Can you sell Superbowl Squares at a Basketball home game?
Can you help with the April 11th Coin Drop in Granville?
Can you send and follow up with business donation letters in January and follow up in March? (Half of funds come from this)
Could you and another volunteer show up for a MWA Bingo Night (on a Thursday 5:30pm - 10:15pm or Sunday 10am - 3pm)? 50% of proceeds of select ticket sales will go to After Prom.
Can you chaperone the Prom on May 2nd?
Not into volunteering but know people who like making donations? Send a check to the After Prom Committee, c/o Granville Jr/Sr High, 58 Quaker Street, Granville, NY, thank you.
The Committee's goal is $12,000 to host the After Prom event with a variety of gifts and activities to inspire students to stay on campus and they currently have a little over $1,000. Typically 6K typically comes from local business and civic organizations who donate.
A new leadership team from high school families is also welcome.
