Every Thursday - Food, Friends and Fun! - FREE Afterschool Community Resource - Food, Fun and Friends at St. Mary's in Granville for GES and Jr/Sr High students 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM - Come have a meal, do homework, play board games, and hang out.
2/2 - 2/6 - Souper Sunday Donation Week - Vote for who you think will win the Super Bowl (Seattle Seahawks vs. New England Patriots) by sending in one canned good or non-perishable item for the PTO's Backpack for Hunger Item and placing it in the team's box. Preferred items are listed here, thank you. If you would like to participate, please drop off at main office of your building or send in with your student.
2/2 - 2/13 - Jr/Sr High Student Council's Project Cameron's Story - Donate a new baby book to the local NICU units at area hospitals for families to read to their babies who are too sick or small to hold or touch, they can still bond with reading. If you would like to participate, here is a link to the Granville CSD wishlist for Cameron's Story.
2/2 - Spring Sport Sign Ups in P.E. Classes 2/3 - Community Resource: Free Parenting Class from the Comfort of Your Own Home

New Sports Conditioning Program Come work out with a certified trainer after school. 2:15–3:00 PM in the weight room. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays are open to students in grades 9–12 from 2:15-3PM
Tuesdays and Thursdays are open to students in grades 7–8 from 2:15-3PM in the weight room! Contact, Athletic Director, Ms. Hunt with questions at ghunt@granvillecsd.org. No sign up necessary.

After Prom Committee Are you ready for some football....Super Bowl squares that is....Press your luck & support Granville After Prom! Super Bowl Squares are now ready...it's only $10 a square - payout is $125 each quarter to the winner. If the game goes into overtime the payout goes to the final score of the game.
Let us know how many squares you'd like. Payment in cash, check or through Venmo to Kayla McKnight (committee member) @ Kayla-McKnight-06178 Names will not be added to the board until payment is received.
If you would like to sell Super Bowl Squares at a Basketball home game on behalf of the committee, please send an email to granvilleafterprom@yahoo.com to sign up and for instructions. After Prom is accepting donations for the After Prom fund to keep students safe on school grounds after the dance.
If you would like to donate to After Prom, your time, skills or a monetary gift to go towards the event, please feel free to contact them as well.
Basketball Games Concession Stand
Attend a home basketball game, manage the concession stand for the Athletic Boosters and watch the game from the TV in the foyer. If you'd like to help or volunteer (there is a TV that streams the games by the Concession Stand), here is the link to sign up to manage the concession stand.

Varsity Indoor Track is heading to Sectionals this Saturday with grades 9 - 12 teammates.

The girls placed 6th overall as a team and the boys placed 5th overall as a team. Our 4 relay teams all placed and were able to score points for the team. -the boys 4x200 placed 3rd -the boys 4x400 placed 3rd -the boys 4x800 placed 4th

Ski and Snowboard Club at West Mountain |
The Ski and Snowboard Club is having fun despite the freezing temperatures. Here are some of the members pictured below.
Join the club next year and if you're new to skiing sign up for a lesson or two at West Mountain as part of your package.
The club and other schools in the area fill the mountain each Wednesday for food and outdoor fun. Lots of socializing, outdoor time and making new friends across the grades. |

Welcome to our new full-time, Special Patrol Officer, Ben Hover! Officer Hover (pictured on left) will be moving around all our buildings, ensuring the safety of our campus and being a friendly, reliable and secure presence to our students and staff. He will be working with Officer Jim Gallagher (pictured in the middle).
Officer Hover is a GCSD alum, and has family in the district. Superintendent Michael Hall is pictured as well on the right. |
