This Week's Updates
Granville Jr/Sr High

Great things are happening at Granville Jr/Sr High!

As a reminder, there is no school for students tomorrow, 3/14/25 for a Superintendent's Conference Day.

Communication went out yesterday about Bus Changes for 3/13 - 3/28. Here is the link with the information.

Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough sign-ups for the school play this year, so we won’t be moving forward with it. But don’t worry, we have something exciting planned! The National Honor Society will be hosting a Granville's Got Talent Show and is inviting the Granville community to attend.

This is the perfect opportunity for all students to showcase their unique skills—whether it’s singing, dancing, comedy, or something else. We can’t wait to see all the amazing talent that our school has to offer. Details are in the District Calendar and in a Granville CSD Facebook event to share with family and friends.

Glens Falls Symphony Special for Schools

Happy Music in our School's Month 2025 from the Glens Falls Symphony!

Please email Jr/Sr High Band Director, Ms. Stout to receive a $10 student and $15 accompanying adult vouchers for the Glens Falls Symphony concert in our 2024-25 season of Music, Movement and Memory.

Sunday, March 16, 2025, 4pm at First Presbyterian Church of Glens Falls

"An Afternoon of Piano Music" featuring American Pianist Chris Reynolds and Piano Students from the Capital District Council for Young Musicians.

This concert, which takes place at the magnificent First Presbyterian Church in Glens Falls, features soloist Chris Reynolds, a highly esteemed opera coach and collaborative pianist, in a work by Paul Hindemith that is not often performed.

"Four Temperaments" is an orchestral work to accompany a ballet for George Balanchine at the forerunner of the New York City Ballet, The Ballet Society. The piece and the ballet are acknowledged as a masterpiece. Then the stage lights up with young, leading piano students from the Capital Region will literally play musical chairs as they share the piano benches for a collaborative performance of Camille Saint-Saëns' beloved "The Carnival of the Animals".

All instructions on how to redeem tickets are on the vouchers. Contact Ms. Stout today for a free voucher: jstout@granvillecsd.org

Funding Vocational School and College

There are local, state and national grants and scholarships (money you do not have to give back) for all kinds of programs - from the trades, to local workforce, to college. Check out this free 2-year to 5-year college-tuition scholarship for NYS families earning under 125K. Guidance has the latest information about Scholarships, apprenticeships, college and more.

Vermont students who graduate from Granville can also receive in-state SUNY tuition.
