Dear MJT Families,
This coming week our Spring Book Fair will be open on Wednesday and Thursday for students to shop. If you’d like to send in money, or add money to their ewallet, please do so. We kindly ask that parents do not come to school to pull their child out of class to shop.
We are looking forward to our performances of “Bugz” the musical here on Thursday, 5/28! We encourage families to join one of our two performances:
Performances: 10:00 AM and 1:30 PM
Second Grade: BOTH performances will have our second grade students from Mrs. Dickinson’s, Mrs. Locke’s, and Mrs. Duvernoy’s classes. We ask that second grade families please pick
ONE performance to attend (10:00 or 1:30). Second grade students may not leave after the 10:00 show, because they are needed again at 1:30.
First Grade: Mrs. Tomis’, Ms. Aldous’, Mrs. Saunders’, and Mrs. Palmer’s classes will be performing in the 10:00 show only. Parents are encouraged to attend!
Kindergarten: Mrs. Stewart’s, Mrs. Silverman’s, Ms. Hahn’s, and Mrs. Phillips’ classes will be performing in the 1:30 show only. Parents are encouraged to attend!

Congratulations to Bus 135 - You are Bus of the Month!
Driver Mr. Rock and Attendant Mr. Sharrow have spearheaded a big transformation in student behavior and safety on this route and we are proud of our staff and students.
In partnership with the the District, The Granville, NY PTO and Scarlotta’s Car Hop, MJT and GES students received coupon for ice cream or a snack at their cafeteria, Jr/Sr High received coupons for Scarlotta’s and our driver and attendant received a generous donation gift from Scarlotta’s to enjoy.
The PTO gifts each driver a team building book each month called the Energy Bus too.
Watch the celebration video here.

students in the region. It is a high-risk video chat platform connecting users, often children and teens, with strangers via random, short video calls.
Safety concerns include exposure to explicit content, predatory behavior, and lack of strict age verification, despite a 18+ policy. It is similar to Omegle, often used for quick, anonymous interactions and "pranks".

Pack Sneakers for P.E. Classes |
Please remember to pack sneakers each day for gym class!
March will bring a jump rope unit and will need proper and safe footwear during class. Thank you!
If you like, you can leave an old pair of sneakers in your student's classroom cubby to leave at school for gym.
If your student needs help tying their shoes, here are two instructional videos to practice at home:

Please pack a healthy, filling snack each day to help your child focus, get along with others and feel ready to learn important life skills.
Please also only send your student to school with clear water for the classroom (juice for lunch is fine). Please avoid adding colored, sugary powders or squirts to the water as they disrupt behavior due to their ingredients. |
Here are three simple routines to help your family. |
Thank you for showing up on time, every day! We love seeing your students in school and appreciate your efforts. |
