Dear MJT Families,

We had a fun-filled first full week of school here at MJT!

Our students and staff are back in full swing, routines and schedules are up and running, and there are smiling faces everywhere you look.

On Wednesday, we had our annual PBIS kick off carnival.  Throughout the day, students visited various areas of the school for modeling and instruction on how to follow our “3 Bees”: Be Safe, Be Kind, and Be Responsible.

They visited the playground, cafeteria, hallways/bathrooms, and the school bus.  Additionally, students were taught mindfulness skills.  We had fun game stations outdoors and in the gym, as well as face painting and ice pops!  I’d like to extend a sincere thank you to the PTO for providing supplies and parent volunteers!

Thank you to all of our families for your patience as we worked through some of our dismissal procedures at Lee Road.  This week, we’ve been able to keep the line moving well and finish on time.  As a friendly reminder, if your student’s dismissal plan changes for any reason, the front office must be notified.  If you come to pick up your student and we’ve not been notified, they will have already been put on the bus and this creates confusion and delays.

Be on the lookout for information regarding our MJT Open House on Wednesday, 9/24 from 6:00-7:00.  We hope to see all families there, as this is a wonderful opportunity to connect with your student’s teacher, learn about their classroom and activities, and see some of the beautiful work they’ve put on display.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend,

Mrs. Taylor
