PBIS Celebration - Students of the Month

PBIS is a positive behavior intervention and supports program.

Each month, students are selected by their teachers who most exemplify the monthly character trait the school studies each month.

Congratulations to all students and their families!

School Psychologist, Mrs. Forbes is dressed up as the PBIS Bee and took a picture with each student who received a PBIS award. Here are a few snapshots.

PTO Staff Member of the Month

Congratulations to our PTO Sponsored, November Employee of the month, Pre-K Teacher, Mrs. Alowitz-Rhem!

Here's what staff has to share about Mrs. Rehm:

"She has a real love for the students that need to know that someone cares for them when their day is difficult, to help and encourage them."

"She has incredible patience, understanding, and compassion for our youngest learners, and welcomes parents in often to be part of special events."

Mrs. Rehm was gifted a beautiful slate frame and gift card to Indulge Pizza from the PTO. Thank you to the PTO!

Please Pack a Daily Snack

Twice per week, students are introduced to new fresh fruit or vegetable, thanks to a NYS grant and Granville CSD Food Director, Ms. Conklin for pursuing this grant each school year.

This week students tried fresh sugar snap peas.

The Library

A newly designed, beautiful collage awaits MJT students each day by the library.

If you haven't already, get a free family library card at the local Pember Library in Granville - free movies, books, magazine, Wi-fi and free fresh food.

Reading 10-20 minutes a day with your child makes a huge difference in their ability to understand new words, improves speech and helps children feel calm and confident about learning new things.
